Dentistry In Harmony With Nature
From DDS: CrossFit peeps are invited to my office party Thursday evening 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Live band, drinks, snacks. 1240 High St., Unit 105. Steve Leighty, DDS.
Eli thanks for posting the party invitation for Thursday 5-8pm tonight.
Very nice to see an article on dentistry. Every child should see a dentist by their first birthday or the arrival of their first tooth; I had to get that in! Lots of sound information on the articles today, but (like the rest of the internet) don’t really substitute for professional care which takes in individual differences. Compare trying to do a safe yet challenging CrossFit program without your instructor. Your dentist should serve you in the role of being your tooth trainer/instructor.
The info about the anatomically shaped pacifiers is true. The data about the size, growth and development of the jaws, and positioning of wisdom teeth, are also based on current science. The comments about less cavities connected with less cariogenic diets that our ancestors ate is absolutely true. Don’t forget the critical importance of daily oral hygiene (brushing and flossing) towards controlling cavities and gum disease.
I agree with some of the comments about dental fillings or restorations. However, the #1 take home message about dentistry is that prevention is JOB #1. Cavities, periodontal disease, problems of replacing missing teeth, and TMJ problems are vastly better to avoid or minimize before they get serious; not by repairing, replacing, or ignoring the problems.
I love going to the dentist, its such a shame i only go once every 10 years…………..
Very much enjoyed both of those articles. Did my road WOD thanks to my wonderful app…this morning in pheoinx, headed to Scottsdale for a conference. See u all soon!! Happy Thursday!!
