Thanks Muscles. Here’s what I’m sayin, dig me….so many of you can school me back home in this & that, and for me to come out here and compete with 100 folks on a daily basis, and rank in the top 10, 5, or 3 (at least once, though sometimes worse!) is a true testament that Coach has us dialed-in. I still have my same weaknesses, and damn those du’s, but I think these folks are done sizing me up. Go ACF, and thanks Coach!

Thanks coach for the correlation between one of my favorite shows of all time and my current favorite thing. It is so true. My hands are wrecked from yesterday and I will still be there to hurt myself today.

so funny, because the theme song for cheers often goes through my head at the box. as does the song from rockie.

I love that saying: “don’t write a check your ass can’t cash”. I’ve been reading about work out/rest scheduling and surprisingly no one recommends a six on, one off schedule! I’m going to try adding an extra day of rest to my week, starting today, but don’t be surprised if I stop by the bar to cheer everybody on.

Sounds like cherry picking to me! CF recommends 3 on 1 off, not 2 on 1 off…

      • Molly February 27, 2013 at 8:34 am #

then you should open your gym 7 days a week so I can follow the cf prescription. btw, you’re so predictable. I knew you’d call me a cherry picker.

          Think outside the box, pal!

          • Molly February 27, 2013 at 8:56 am #

like the 3 mile trail run I did last Sunday? or the WOD I’ll be doing at NorCal this coming Sunday?

  4. Kelsey February 27, 2013 at 2:12 pm #

What I wouldn’t give for that amount of checks and balances in my sleep/work/exercise bank! Trying to be there tonight, work willing. And Sunday WODs!! :)

Thanks for the “Crossfit is my cheers” link. He is totally right.

Thanks for the constant encouragement, positivity, and support everyone!

  6. Dani February 27, 2013 at 2:17 pm #

    Amen to sunday WODS!

  7. Molly February 27, 2013 at 2:25 pm #

Word to the wise, never start a sentence with the phrase, “You should . . .”, at the gym or on the blog. Haha.

Re: Sundays, now that the weather is BEAUTIFUL, I’m game for some outdoor play time. Trail running, casual ball games at the high school, bike rides, etc. Let’s apply our CrossFit training to some sports!

Who’s thinking outside the box now, pal?

    • FireSteve February 27, 2013 at 4:15 pm #

I am in. Molly I think you just became in charge of Sunday WOD programming.

It would be cool to plan a hike one day. Steven’s trail is a good one. It’s in Colfax. 8 miles. Downhill one way. Uphill the entire way back, so it definitely gets your heart rate up.

I love the post on CrossFit is my cheers, I showed it to a coworker so that they could get the vibe of why CrossFit is more than just another workout, it’s truly a community like cheers (with only beer on Friday nights) where we understand each other and we are passionate about life, growing physically, mentally and becoming better people overall. Sure, there are days that suck and where stresses are through the roof, but just think about how much better you feel about yourself and your life from the time you enter the box to when you leave, it’s unmatched as far as I’ve experienced!

What on earth can you benefit from an ice bath, that
makes it worth getting into AN ICE BATH? Am I the only one who’s curious/worried?

  11. Scott February 27, 2013 at 3:57 pm #

Molly love the Sunday idea outside the box. Top knot you do a great job running your box. We all appreciate you! Robert I’ve never had one and hope I never do.

I think my credits and debits might be out of balance… not good when you call yourself a beancounter for a living. Great workout tonight. 6:30 did well too and we got to welcome Shane to the gang! Also liked the “Crossfit is my Cheers” read. Well done. Yeah, ice bath?!
