Molly you’re gunna kick this WOD in the a**! I’m counting on you to get 13 rounds + 2 reps! Did you watch Annie and Lindsey do 13.2? That was nuts!

Molly, Tracy and Scott all did great jobs this morning. Strong work to all of you.

I too tried it again, 2 days in a row I dont know what I was thinking. Although I did get 8 rounds completed. That was a hard 8 rounds. I think I need to look into blood doping and HGH so I too can get 12-13 rounds.

amen to that! i might be able to squeeze in a few extra reps if i did it again, but not a few extra rounds. i’m kicking around the idea of trying it again this weekend (if keith is going to be at the gym), but i’m also trying to be happy with what i got (damn those full extension box jumps!).

Alright I am joining Molly with a food post. If you like boneless beef short ribs here is a great recipe. 1 lb boneless beef ribs, 1/4 cup Dijon mustard, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/3 cup beef broth, 1t cumin, 2 cloves of garlic and salt and pepper. Salt and pepper your ribs brown on all sides. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk together. Put the ribs into a slow cooker, add the liquid mixture to it. Cook on low for 6-8 hrs. Removes the ribs and add the liquid to a saucepan, reduce down and thicken with arrowroot powder. Cover your ribs with the sauce and enjoy!

Have you ever been in the middle of a workout and wondered if maybe your body got switched out for some other body. Like my body totally had these moves, this pace, this whatever the other day. What the heck happened to me today??? Did it forget the last 10 months of training?? So today Im trying so freaking hard on that 13.2 Open WOD and its goin pretty much no where . . . Im thinking maybe my body got swapped out in the middle of the night . . but no, I look down and its definitely me. I get done and I kinda wanna cry. And then the most amazing thing happens . . . you get this team of people who take moments out of their day to remind you of how awesome it was that you did it AT ALL. And the power of reaching RX no matter how slow it was. Thank you Kelsey, Denise and Heather for reminding of what really matters. You guys rock.

Jess, girl you will be back to your normal self soon, it’s hard coming back after being sick. I remember when you first started coming and look at you now! You are an inspiration to me! Hugs

hugs to you, jess! i often tell myself the same thing when i don’t achieve my perceived potential – it is amazing that we do it at all! the fact is we willingly go to the box every day and expose our weakness and vulnerability through testing our strength and pushing our boundaries. we could play it safe, stay at home, read and comment on blogs, but no. instead we get stinky and sweaty and we cry and we swear and we make ugly pain faces. we build muscles and speed and community and confidence. what we do is amazing, even when we have bad days.

Steve and Molly: I’m trying hard to eat paleo and love to hear how other people do it – keep up the posts about food!
Jess: I know exactly how you feel. Way I see it, just showing up is a win and finishing is awesome, but the stuff that goes thru my head in between those two points in time – whoa!
    Kyle: love that post!
