Today looks like a good one coach, I might pull out the gloves for this one.
I like the posting on TJ Murphy, I think that I had a lot in common with him when I went from marathon training in 2011 to CrossFit. In fact, the day after the CIM (Cal. Intern. Marathon), I did my first CrossFit class in order to improve my core strength and I’ve never looked back since. I’m excited about what this sport does and how much I’ve gained in 2 years to become fitter and healthier than ever before!! I can’t stop talking about the benefits of this sport that I shout it out from the rooftops.

I think I will make it this evening. This one looks too much fun to miss. Anyone else excited to see what the open wod 13.1 is going to be tomorrow?

Thanks Kyle and Molly for coaching yesterday! Looking forward to today’s WOD!

“Interesting” and “good one” don’t quite describe today’s WOD….maybe when my shin stops burning and my arms don’t feel like they are about to fall off I’ll let you know the best word to describe today.
Coach-I’ll try to put a little more pressure on you next time

Going for 2 days in a row. Hopefully my shoulders and lats are recovers enough!
Molly thank you for coaching Cassie on her front squat! She really appreciated that an it made her workout much better!

I came down with something this weekend, I feel a lot better today though. Dani and I will at the box tomorrow!

If anyone has the time, I could really use a crossfitter’s quote! I’m writting a mock newsletter for a mindless computer course that has me wanting to paint the wall with my brain, but that’s beside the point. I need a quote from someone. So if anyone has a one sentence way to sum up their view of ACF or Crossfit in general, I will be eternally greatful! Just post it up on here and I’ll copy/paste it up.

    Thank you!

I’ll tell you my new favorite quote (from a progenex poster at NorCal crossfit): “a goal is a dream with a deadline.” it’s just cheesy enough to be awesome.

On a similar note, from a video on crossfit.com
“People walk through the door and say ‘Where are the machines?’ We are the machines”

I guess I’d be an abondonded 70’s stepside truck that barely runs. I’ll change that soon enough!

I really was looking forward to challenging myself with this WOD. It has been a long time since we last did rope climbs. But I’m battling this bug that came out of no where. Gonna sit this one out and try to fight off this thing. Hoping to be back tomorrow.

in other news, Avery is avoiding her algebra homework by watching CrossFit Harlem Shake videos on YouTube. she’s convinced that ACF should make one. I’m thinking she should direct/produce/film it and call it a homeschool project! what say you?

As much as I cringe when fads roll through, like flash mobs and my want to mow them down with something high caliber, I think this would be fun.

I guess it comes down to perspective, and if it involves the ACF community I’m all for it!
