Workout of the Day

Complete as many reps as possible in 30 minutes of:

Rope climbs and push-ups (Bring long socks)

Count the number of trips up the rope and the number of push-ups within the half hour.

    Hey Jess- I wanted to comment on your post a few days ago. First I want to say I am not a big fan of social media and I think there can be a lot of missunderstanding when body language and tone are not available but I felt frustration and maybe even anger in your post. Because I don’t get to see you very often I’m going to take the risk of also being missunderstood and reach out to you through “social media”. When you say ‘”a workout chosen by someone not in you skin” you are defining exactly what crossfit is and that someone is Elijah. We all have placed our faith and our bodies in his hands….that is huge because I believe my body is the best thing I will ever own! I believe that Elijah has the experience to take my body and everybody elses’ body to a place of greatness. Look around…it is happening! Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t love everyday and everything that we do and my ego would love nothing better than to do what is in my wheel house every single day. but I am often most surprised on the days I go in hating the WOD and come out on the other side…..it is a process….some of my best days happen when I trust my body and I say “yes” to everything Elijah challenges me with because he has taken the time to get know me just as he has done for everyone that has walked into his box. That PR I hit the other day wasn’t just my doing…..it may have been my legs that did the work but there was a box full of people cheering me on and a coach that knows me who set the bar for me……….that to me is what crossfit is all about.
    I know we all go through ups and downs and I guess my intention was to hopefully remind you of the beauty of crossfit…….keep up the hard work Jess!

    T, nice props to one of the best workout designers I have been a part of. Coach E does know how to program to get the best out of all of us, which shows in the fact how most of us seem to make gains we never thought possible. I would not have been able to complete “Eva” under an hour a year ago, and the list goes on and on. If you haven’t bought into this yet” I suggest going and trying another gym and workout for 5/6 days in a row and see how you feel. I know my body broke down a lot faster doing the style of programming other coaches cram down their athletes throats, rather than following the true varied movement programming coach E follows.

    Although I do agree we need to listen to our bodies and rest as needed to help prevent overuse injuries and recover to get stronger.

    Tqke all that for what its worth, just had to throw in my 2 cents.
